The teacher
Tina Guerrisi
A Roman artist by adoption, Tina Guerrisi is a key figure in the Italian pastel scene. Founder of the "Scuola Le Muse" and co-founder of the "Pasit" (Italian Pastelists) association, she has been dedicated to dry pastel painting for over 15 years, a path that has earned her numerous international awards.
Her career has been marked by her role as a pioneer. At the beginning, Tina encountered a veritable "educational desert": in Italy, pastel was relegated to an ancillary technique, suitable for sketches but not for finished works. Teachers and materials were lacking, a gap that forced her to look beyond the borders to discover innovative supports and learn the secrets of a medium that does not forgive uncertainty.
After years of experimentation, sacrifice, and research, she transformed that pedagogical frustration into an entrepreneurial mission: the creation of Le Muse School, created to fill the educational void she herself had experienced.
Tina was also the first in Italy to popularize the use of PanPastels. These colors, presented in cosmetic-like pans, revolutionized the technique, allowing for a more painterly approach.
Fascinated by color, her works favor close-ups and obsessive attention to detail, revealing a profound process that gives the subject a living, vibrant substance.
In this workshop, Tina shares not only her technique, but the fruits of years of international research and experimentation. Her mission is to transmit those once-inaccessible technical secrets, guiding students toward a painting style characterized by substance, detail, and vibrant color.
